We maintain a mailing list for periodic emails (weekly, as of this writing) that
list Swing Era dance events around Charlotte, NC. If you don't want to be on the list, we'll be happy to
stop sending the update to you--please follow unsubscribe instructions in your email or contact us.
This website is run by CSDS, a nonprofit group of swing dance enthusiasts who encourage growth of the
Charlotte swing dance scene by, among other things, organizing information about local events.
Collected Information
When you provide information to CSDS, we collect personal information
from you, sometimes including your name, phone number, mail address and email address.
Use of Information
Individuals' privacy is something we take seriously. We do not sell or disseminate the personal information
in our contact list to any parties outside of CSDS, except of course we would in cases where required to
by law by law enforcement agencies. We use information primarily for the purpose of creating a periodic
email update of current events in the Charlotte swing dance scene. In some occasions, we may use the non-email
information for invitations to an upcoming special event, creating and maintaining individual membership
accounts, contacting individuals in case of a problem with their membership, to conduct surveys and to
administer drawings or contests.
Note that the site is hosted by Dreamhost.com, and we consequently entrust
access to the CSDS Contact List to them as well. A current link to their privacy policy can be found on
their website frontpage.
