Charlotte Area Group Lessons

Swing dancing is a BLAST. You've thought swing dancing looked fun but haven't gotten around to learning it? It's great exercise for the body and mind--but don't be fooled by the misconception that it's usually done at racing speeds.

Swing jazz music makes you naturally tap your feet, others in the dance scene want you to dance with them, and you can learn enough to start swing dancing in a very short time.  Lessons are also the perfect icebreaker for getting to know other dancers.

Most dances begin with a one-hour beginner lesson, free after the admission price.
In-depth lessons are often taught in a 4- or 6-week series at beginner or intermediate levels.  The groups listed below provide those.
Lesson schedules are constantly evolving, so I can't always keep this list current--check with instructors for details.

This list is roughly in order from north-to-south in the Charlotte area.
