The purpose of Charlotte Swing Dance Society (CSDS) is to preserve and nurture the American art form of Swing dance by providing dancing, live music and educational events that encourage broad community involvement and participation.

CSDS sponsors and promotes multi-cultural events that bring together community members in the Charlotte region to share the common experience of music and dance that transcends race, age, gender and creed.
